Slow Cooker Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. In a slow cooker crock, combine all ingredients.
  2. Cover slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 4 hours.
  3. Refrigerate until ready to use or use it for Slow Cooker Easy Barbecue Meatballs.

Makes: about 5 cups
