Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound chicken pieces

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine egg and water. In another small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  2. Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture and roll in crumb mixture until evenly coated. In air fryer basket, arrange tenders in an even layer.
  3. Set air fryer temperature on 400°F. Stopping halfway through cooking time to turn tenders, cook 9 to 11 minutes or until temperature reaches 165°F when tested with a meat thermometer.
