Serves: 6

WONTON WRAPPER VARIATIONS:

  • For a savory variation on the wonton cup, brush the wrappers with egg wash and sprinkle them with a combination of Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning before baking. Other herb variations are also delicious, like fresh sage and rosemary with garlic (the same recipe used for our Garlic and Herb Pie Crust Chips).
  • For a sweet variation on the wonton cup, brush the wonton wrappers with egg wash and sprinkle them with either a combination of cinnamon and sugar or cocoa powder and sugar before baking.

SAVORY FILLINGS:

  • Savory Brunch Twist: Scrambled eggs with breakfast sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and herbs.
  • Chicken or Tuna Salad Cup: Fill a cooled wonton cup with your favorite homeade chicken or tuna salad. Save time by purchasing a pre-made version from your local grocery store.
  • Charcuterie Party Cups: Roll thinly sliced salami and prosciutto, then add to the wonton cup. Add a cheese— gogonzola, sharp white cheddar, or parmigiano reggiano are ideal. Garnish with cornichons or olives. Serve with stone ground mustard.
  • Mexican Fiesta: Try a classic 7-layer dip built into each cup for individual servings. No separate chip needed!
  • Spinach & Artichoke Dip Cups: Prepare your favorite spinach and artichoke dip recipe (or use ours), then spoon it into individual wonton cups. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
  • Pizza Cups: Add sauce to the bottom of each cup and add your favorite pizza toppings. Top with mozzarella cheese and heat until melted.
  • Hot Mexican Bean Dip: Make the dip, then spoon into individual cups. Top with additional cheese, salsa and sour cream.
  • Artichoke Cups: Artichoke hearts, onion and parmesan cook together in a slow cooker until you are ready to fill each wonton cup with delicious artichoke dip. Top with fresh parsley.
  • Buffalo Chicken Cups: Shredded chicken, cream cheese, hot sauce, and blue cheese make the perfect buffalo chicken dip. Spoon into individual cups, then garnish with celery and green onions.

SWEET FILLINGS:

  • Raspberry Chocolate Mousse: Fill your cooled wonton wrapper with a chocolate mousse and top with fresh raspberries and mint leaf.
  • Pudding Parfait: Start with a base of your favorite pudding flavor, then top with cookie crumbles and a dallop of whipped cream.
  • Banana Pudding Cups: Prepare your favorite banana pudding and add to individual wonton cups. Layer bananas and whipped cream, then top with graham cracker crumbles.
  • Ice Sundaes: Add your favorite ice cream to each wrapper, then top with hot fudge, caramel, nuts, whipped cream and a cherry.
  • Caramel Apple Dip Cups: Cream cheese, brown sugar, apple cider, vanilla and apple pie spice blend together to make a delicious and fluffy Caramel Apple Dip. Spoon into wonton cups and top with a drizzle of fresh caramel.
  • Grilled Amaretto Pear Cups: Prepare the grilled amaretto pears with smaller slices instead of halves. Once cooked, add the pears to wonton cups and top with vanilla ice cream. Garnish with chopped cookies.
